Jaxson Hayes, born on May 23, 2000, in Norman, Oklahoma, is an American professional basketball player known for his athleticism and shot-blocking ability. He played college basketball for the Texas Longhorns at the University of Texas at Austin, where he showcased his skills during the 2019 NCAA season, helping elevate the team's performance. Following a successful freshman year, Hayes declared for the 2019 NBA Draft.
In the 2019 NBA Draft, Hayes was selected 8th overall by the Atlanta Hawks and was subsequently traded to the New Orleans Pelicans.
