Jay Kerr is a former professional basketball player known for his impressive career in both collegiate and professional basketball leagues. Born on June 15, 1990, in Chicago, Illinois, Kerr attended St. Joseph's High School where he gained recognition for his scoring ability and athleticism. He went on to play college basketball at the University of North Carolina, where he was a key member of the Tar Heels' squad that reached the NCAA Tournament finals in 2011.
During his time at North Carolina, Kerr averaged 16.3 points and 5.2 rebounds per game, earning All-ACC honors in his junior and senior years.
