Jay McKee, born on September 8, 1977, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey defenseman known for his defensive skills and shot-blocking ability. McKee was drafted 14th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft after showcasing his talents in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Kingston Frontenacs. He began his NHL career with the Sabres in the late 1990s, quickly establishing himself as a reliable defenseman.
Throughout his career, McKee played for several NHL teams, including the St. Louis Blues, Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Columbus Blue Jackets.
