Jay Novacek, born on October 24, 1962, in Martinsville, Illinois, is a former professional American football player widely recognized for his achievements as a tight end in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Wyoming, where he earned All-American honors, before being selected by the St. Louis Cardinals in the sixth round of the 1985 NFL Draft. Throughout his career, Novacek became renowned for his exceptional receiving skills and game-changing plays.
Novacek's most notable tenure was with the Dallas Cowboys from 1990 to 1995, where he was an integral part of the team's success during the 1990s.
