Biography
Jeff Beukeboom, born on March 28, 1965, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is a former professional ice hockey defenceman renowned for his robust physical style of play and defensive acumen. Selected 40th overall by the New York Rangers in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft, Beukeboom began his National Hockey League (NHL) career in the 1986-87 season after developing his skills in junior hockey with the Prince Albert Raiders. Over the course of his career, he played for prominent teams including the New York Rangers, Edmonton Oilers, and the New York Islanders.
Beukeboom's tenure with the New York Rangers was marked by significant achievements, most notably his contribution to the team's 1994 Stanley Cup championship victory. He was recognized for his tough defensive play, earning a reputation as a reliable blueliner who could effectively combine physicality with key contributions on the ice.
