Born on March 15, 1975, in Atlanta, Georgia, Couch attended North Clayton High School where he showcased his talent on the court, earning All-State honors before going on to play college basketball at the University of Georgia. After going undrafted in the 1997 NBA Draft, Couch signed with the Continental Basketball Association (CBA).
