Jeff Hostetler, born on April 22, 1961, in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, is a former American football quarterback known for his successful career in the National Football League (NFL). After playing college football at West Virginia University, where he set multiple passing records, Hostetler was selected in the third round of the 1984 NFL Draft by the New York Giants. He spent the majority of his professional career with the Giants, gaining recognition for his resilience and leadership on the field.
One of Hostetler's career highlights came during the 1990 NFL season when he stepped in as the starting quarterback after an injury to Phil Simms. He led the Giants to a Super Bowl XXV victory against the Buffalo Bills, earning the title of Super Bowl MVP for his performance.
