Biography
Jeff Monken, born on April 15, 1967, is a former American football player and current college football coach known for his contributions to the sport. He played as a wide receiver and kick returner during his collegiate career at Millikin University, where he distinguished himself with impressive athletic performances. Following his playing days, Monken transitioned into coaching, where he has made a significant impact.
Monken began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at the University of Georgia and subsequently held various assistant coaching positions across different colleges. He gained notoriety as the head coach of the Georgia Southern Eagles from 2010 to 2013, leading them to a notable run that included an FCS National Championship in 2010. His innovative offensive strategies, particularly the option offense, garnered attention and praise within college football circles.
In 2014, Monken took the helm at the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he has continued to build a strong legacy.
