Biography
Jeff Zatkoff, born on June 9, 1987, in Detroit, Michigan, is an American professional ice hockey goaltender. He began his junior career with the U.S. National Development Program before playing for Miami University in the NCAA. Zatkoff was selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the third round, 74th overall, of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
Zatkoff turned professional in 2009 and spent several seasons in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Manchester Monarchs and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. His breakout season came in 2012-13, when he was named an AHL All-Star and helped lead the Penguins to the playoffs. He made his NHL debut with the Pittsburgh Penguins during the 2013-14 season, further establishing his presence in the league.
Throughout his career, Zatkoff was recognized for his impressive performances and resilience as a goaltender. He was part of the Pittsburgh Penguins' roster that won the Stanley Cup in 2016, contributing to the team's success despite limited playtime.
