Jerome Brown was born on February 4, 1965, in Brooksville, Florida. A highly talented defensive tackle, he played college football at the University of Miami, where he was part of a dominant team that secured a national championship in 1983. Brown's exceptional performance at Miami earned him recognition as one of the top collegiate players, culminating in his selection as the 9th overall pick in the 1987 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles.
During his NFL career, Brown played for the Philadelphia Eagles from 1987 until his tragic death in 1992. He was known for his powerful play and quickness, making him a key component of the Eagles' formidable defense and earning him two Pro Bowl selections in 1990 and 1991.
