Jerry Stovall, born on April 30, 1941, was an eminent American football player who gained prominence as a fullback in the National Football League (NFL). After an illustrious collegiate career at Louisiana State University (LSU), where he was recognized as an All-American, he entered the NFL in 1963 when he was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the second round. Throughout his professional career, Stovall played primarily for the St. Louis Cardinals from 1963 to 1970, later spending a brief period with the New Orleans Saints in 1972.
