Jesse Joensuu, born on October 5, 1987, in Oulu, Finland, is a former professional ice hockey forward known for his versatile playing style and strong physical presence on the ice. He began his junior career with Oulun Kärpät before being drafted 60th overall by the New York Islanders in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. Joensuu made his NHL debut during the 2009-10 season and played a total of 37 games with the Islanders over multiple seasons.
