Jessie Armstead, born on October 26, 1970, in Houston, Texas, is a former professional American football linebacker who made a significant impact in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Miami, where he was an integral part of a powerhouse team that won the national championship in 1989. Armstead was selected by the New York Giants in the eighth round of the 1993 NFL Draft.
During his tenure with the Giants from 1993 to 2001, Armstead established himself as a formidable force on defense, earning two Pro Bowl selections in 1997 and 1998.
