Biography
Jiří Novotný, born on August 12, 1983, in Prague, Czech Republic, is a retired professional ice hockey player known for his versatility as a forward. He began his career in the Czech Extraliga, playing for HC Slavia Prague before making the transition to the North American hockey scene. Novotný was selected 4th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, marking the start of his journey in the National Hockey League (NHL).
