Biography
Jiří Tlustý, born on March 16, 1988, in Příbram, Czech Republic, is a former professional ice hockey forward known for his dynamic scoring ability and playmaking skills. He began his professional career in the Czech Extraliga with HC Slavia Prague before being selected 13th overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. Tlustý made his NHL debut in 2009 and went on to play a total of 256 regular season games in the league.
During his time in the NHL, Tlustý played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Carolina Hurricanes, and the New Jersey Devils, achieving notable success with a career-high 23 goals and 30 assists during the 2013-14 season with the Hurricanes.
