Jim Bedard, born on November 14, 1956, in Ontario, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey goaltender renowned for his contributions to the sport during the 1970s and 1980s. Bedard played junior hockey with the Kingston Canadians and gained attention for his impressive skills between the pipes, ultimately being drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the 1976 NHL Amateur Draft. He made his NHL debut with the Red Wings during the 1977-78 season.
