Jim L. Mora, born on November 19, 1961, is a former American football player and coach, known predominantly for his contributions to the National Football League (NFL). A standout at the University of Washington, Mora was selected in the 11th round of the 1984 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints, where he began his professional career as a defensive back.
Mora's most notable role came as the head coach of the New Orleans Saints from 1986 to 1996, during which he led the team to its first-ever playoff appearance in 1987.
