Jim Peplinski, born on October 24, 1960, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey player known for his versatility and grit. Peplinski was drafted 15th overall by the Atlanta Flames in the 1980 NHL Entry Draft after an impressive junior career with the Calgary Wranglers in the Western Hockey League. He made his NHL debut during the 1980-81 season and quickly established himself as a reliable forward.
