Biography
Jimmie Giles, born on November 8, 1954, is a former professional American football tight end who enjoyed a successful career in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Florida before being selected in the eighth round of the 1977 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Over the course of his 11-season career, Giles became known for his exceptional receiving skills and versatility on the field.
Giles spent the majority of his career with the Buccaneers, where he established himself as one of the franchise's all-time greats. He was selected to the Pro Bowl twice, in 1980 and 1981, and he played a crucial role in helping the Buccaneers reach Super Bowl XVIII.
