Jimmy Waite, born on April 15, 1969, in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, is a retired professional ice hockey goaltender. He was selected 33rd overall in the 1990 NHL Entry Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks after a successful junior career with the Canadian National Team and in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Regina Pats. Waite went on to play in the National Hockey League (NHL) for several teams, including the Chicago Blackhawks, the New York Islanders, and the Atlanta Thrashers.
Throughout his NHL career, which spanned from 1990 to 1998, Waite appeared in 120 regular-season games, achieving a win-loss record of 37-54-10.
