Biography
Joe Motzko, born on March 14, 1980, in St. Cloud, Minnesota, is a retired American ice hockey forward. He developed his skills in the junior ranks, playing for the USHL's St. Cloud River Bubbles before advancing to collegiate hockey with the University of Minnesota, where he contributed significantly to the team's success during his tenure from 1998 to 2002.
Motzko was selected in the 6th round of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Islanders, marking the beginning of his professional career. He played in the American Hockey League (AHL) and several international leagues, making a notable impact during his time with teams such as the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and the Manchester Monarchs.
