Biography
Joe Pisarcik, born on July 2, 1952, in Paterson, New Jersey, is a former professional American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) during the late 1970s and early 1980s. He played college football at Kean University, where he showcased his skills and attracted the attention of NFL scouts. Pisarcik was selected by the New York Giants in the 1976 NFL Draft.
Throughout his NFL career, Pisarcik played predominantly with the New York Giants, where he served as a starting quarterback during multiple seasons. He is best known for his role in the infamous "Hail Mary" play against the Washington Redskins in 1978, which became one of the most memorable moments in Giants history. His tenure with the Giants included a total of 25 games played, where he accumulated over 2,000 passing yards.
