Joe Reekie, born on February 22, 1965, in Fernie, British Columbia, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey defenseman. He was drafted 53rd overall by the New Jersey Devils in the 3rd round of the 1983 NHL Entry Draft after an impressive junior career in the Western Hockey League (WHL). Reekie's playing style was characterized by his strong defensive play and offensive contributions, which made him a valued player on both his team and in the league.
Reekie made his NHL debut in the 1985-86 season and went on to have a respectable career, playing for several teams including the New Jersey Devils, the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Detroit Red Wings.
