Joe Salave'a, born on March 23, 1975, in American Samoa, is a former professional American football player who made significant contributions to the National Football League (NFL) as a defensive tackle. He played college football at the University of Hawaii, where he was recognized for his strong performance and athleticism. Salave'a entered the NFL when he was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the sixth round of the 1996 NFL Draft.
