Joe Scannella (born May 22, 1928) was a professional American football player who played as a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted in the 14th round of the 1952 NFL Draft by the New York Giants after playing college football at the University of Notre Dame. Scannella's playing career spanned from 1953 to 1958, during which he also spent time with the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers.
