Joe van Niekerk, born on May 14, 1980, in Lephalale, South Africa, is a retired Rugby Union player renowned for his dynamic playing style as a flanker and number eight. He gained prominence playing for the University of Cape Town and subsequently joined the Western Province and Cape Town side, contributing significantly to their successes in domestic competitions.
