Joey Mormina, born on June 29, 1982, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey defenseman. He began his junior career in the QMJHL, playing for the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles and the Moncton Wildcats, where he showcased his strong defensive skills and leadership qualities. Mormina was drafted 161st overall in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft by the New Jersey Devils.
Throughout his professional career, Mormina played for several teams in the American Hockey League (AHL) and East Coast Hockey League (ECHL), notably with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and the Albany River Rats.
