Biography
John Chabot, born on May 18, 1962, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey player known for his versatility on the ice. Chabot was drafted in the second round, 43rd overall, by the Detroit Red Wings in the 1980 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut during the 1985-86 season and went on to play for the Red Wings, as well as the Ottawa Senators and the New York Islanders.
Throughout his career, Chabot played a total of 329 NHL games, scoring 65 goals and providing 144 assists. He was particularly noted for his offensive skills and playmaking ability, contributing significantly to his teams' performances. In addition to his NHL career, Chabot also enjoyed success in the minor leagues, including a stint in the International Hockey League (IHL) and the American Hockey League (AHL), where he continued to showcase his talent.
