John Elway, born on June 28, 1960, in Port Angeles, Washington, is a former professional American football quarterback who played 16 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) for the Denver Broncos. A standout athlete at Stanford University, Elway was selected as the first overall pick in the 1983 NFL Draft. He quickly established himself as a premier quarterback, renowned for his strong arm, athleticism, and ability to lead teams to victory.
