John Grisdale, born on August 23, 1948, in Canada, is a former professional ice hockey defenceman known for his physical style of play and leadership on the ice. He played junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey Association before moving on to compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) and the World Hockey Association (WHA). Grisdale was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 8th round of the 1966 NHL Amateur Draft.
