John McKay, Jr. (born March 24, 1953) is a former American football linebacker who played in the National Football League (NFL) predominantly during the 1970s and early 1980s. He was born in Tampa, Florida, and attended the University of Southern California, where he was part of a national championship team in 1972. After a successful college career, McKay was selected in the third round of the 1975 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams.
During his NFL career, McKay played for several teams, including the Rams, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, amassing notable statistics and recognition.
