Jon Jansen, born on January 28, 1976, in Clawson, Michigan, is a former professional American football player who played as an offensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL). He attended the University of Michigan, where he was a standout player for the Wolverines and earned All-Big Ten honors. Jansen was selected by the Washington Redskins in the second round of the 1999 NFL Draft, marking the beginning of a successful professional career.
During his tenure with the Redskins from 1999 to 2006, Jansen became known for his durability and leadership on the offensive line.
