Jonathan Roy, born on January 5, 1980, in Quebec City, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey player known for his role as a goaltender. He began his professional career in the late 1990s, after having a standout junior career with the QMJHL’s Quebec Remparts, where he showcased his talent and potential to be a successful player in the sport. Roy’s early promise led him to be drafted by the NHL’s New York Rangers in the 9th round of the 1999 Entry Draft.
