Joni Ortio is a Finnish professional ice hockey goaltender, born on April 16, 1991, in Turku, Finland. Known for his quick reflexes and agile play style, Ortio began his junior career with TPS Turku, where he showcased his potential in the Finnish junior leagues. He was selected by the Calgary Flames in the sixth round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft and subsequently moved to North America to pursue his professional career.
Ortio made his National Hockey League (NHL) debut with the Calgary Flames during the 2014-2015 season, earning acclaim for his performances in limited appearances.
