Joseph Novek is a former American football player known for his impactful career as a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). Born on March 15, 1990, in Dallas, Texas, Novek showcased exceptional talent in high school football at Arlington High School, where he earned All-State honors before committing to play college football at the University of Texas. During his collegiate career, he garnered attention as a hard-hitting defensive player, leading his team in tackles during his junior and senior years.
Novek was selected in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles, where he quickly established himself as a key contributor on defense. Over his seven-year career in the league, which included stints with the Eagles, the New Orleans Saints, and the Miami Dolphins, he recorded over 500 tackles, 15 sacks, and 8 interceptions.
