Juan Carlos Gómez, born on July 26, 1973, in Havana, Cuba, is a former professional boxer who achieved notable success in the heavyweight division. He began his boxing career as an amateur, winning a gold medal at the 1994 World Amateur Boxing Championships and securing a bronze medal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Gómez continued to develop his skills in Cuba's esteemed boxing system, laying the foundation for a successful professional career.
