Julia Görges is a retired German professional tennis player born on November 2, 1988, in Bad Oldesloe, Germany. She turned professional in 2005 and quickly made a name for herself on the WTA Tour, known for her powerful serve and aggressive baseline play. Throughout her career, Görges achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 9 in January 2018 and won a total of 7 WTA singles titles.
Görges reached the semifinals of the Wimbledon Championships in 2018, marking her best performance in a Grand Slam event.
