Biography
Justin Smith, born on September 30, 1979, in Springfield, Illinois, is a former American football defensive end known for his impactful career in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Missouri, where he earned All-American honors before being selected in the fourth round of the 2001 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals.
Smith played the majority of his career with the Bengals and the San Francisco 49ers, becoming known for his versatility and tenacity on the field. Over 14 seasons, he recorded 87.5 sacks, multiple Pro Bowl selections, and was named a First-Team All-Pro in 2011.
