K. Chandana is a former Sri Lankan cricketer, born on September 19, 1975, in Colombo. He played as a right-hand batsman and a right-arm off-spin bowler, representing the Sri Lankan national team from 1996 to 2005. Chandana is known for his versatility as an all-rounder and made notable contributions in both Test and One Day International (ODI) formats.
During his international career, Chandana played in 21 Test matches, scoring 1,410 runs including one century, and took 60 wickets. In ODIs, he participated in 90 matches, amassing 1,305 runs and capturing 67 wickets. His performances in the 1999 ICC Cricket World Cup and the 2003 edition of the tournament are especially remembered, where he played key roles in the team's progression.
Chandana's career is marked by his achievements in domestic cricket as well, including significant stints in the Sri Lankan premier tournaments and various international leagues.
