Keith Carney, born on February 3, 1970, in Flint, Michigan, is a retired American professional ice hockey defenseman known for his solid defensive play and leadership qualities. Carney played junior hockey for the Whitby Fury in the Ontario Junior A Hockey League before advancing to the collegiate level, where he excelled at the University of New Hampshire, earning All-American honors.
Over the course of his NHL career, which spanned from 1994 to 2008, Carney played for several teams, including the Philadelphia Flyers, Chicago Blackhawks, and Anaheim Ducks.
