Kelly McCrimmon, born on October 13, 1960, in Durango, Colorado, is a former professional ice hockey player and current executive. He played as a center and had a notable career in the Western Hockey League (WHL), where he was the captain of the Brandon Wheat Kings, leading them to a championship in 1979. McCrimmon was selected by the New York Islanders in the 1980 NHL Entry Draft, although he spent most of his playing career in the minor leagues.
Throughout his playing tenure, which spanned from 1980 to 1987, McCrimmon showcased his skill in the International Hockey League (IHL) and the American Hockey League (AHL), contributing significantly to team successes and earning respect as a reliable two-way player.
