Ken Thornett (born November 27, 1937) is a former professional Rugby League player from Australia, renowned for his contributions to the sport during the 1950s and 1960s. Playing primarily as a fullback, Thornett made a significant impact in both club and representative football. His career is notable for his time with the Parramatta Eels, where he became a key figure in the club’s early history.
Thornett made his first-grade debut for Parramatta in 1956 and quickly established himself as a talented player. He was instrumental in the Eels’ rise, participating in the club’s first Grand Final in 1976. Throughout his career, Thornett earned a reputation for his exceptional kicking skills and strategic gameplay, contributing to his team's offensive strength.
In addition to his club success, Thornett represented New South Wales and played for the Australian national team.
