Biography
Ken Whisenhunt, born on February 28, 1962, is a former NFL player and coach known for his contributions to professional football. A tight end during his playing career, Whisenhunt was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the 1985 NFL Draft. He played a total of 5 seasons in the league with the Falcons and later spent time with the San Diego Chargers and the New York Jets.
Transitioning from player to coach, Whisenhunt gained recognition as the offensive coordinator for the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he played a pivotal role in the team’s Super Bowl XL victory in 2006. He was later appointed the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals in 2007, leading the team to its first Super Bowl appearance in franchise history during Super Bowl XLIII in 2009. His coaching tenure in Arizona solidified his reputation for developing quarterbacks and creating effective offensive strategies.
