Biography
Kenny Easley, born on January 15, 1959, is a former professional American football player who played as a safety in the National Football League (NFL). He was selected by the Seattle Seahawks with the fourth overall pick in the 1981 NFL Draft after a standout collegiate career at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Easley quickly established himself as a dominant force in the league, earning six Pro Bowl selections and being named a First-Team All-Pro on four occasions.
During his tenure with the Seahawks from 1981 to 1987, Easley recorded 32 interceptions, displaying exceptional ball-hawking skills and playmaking ability. His most notable season came in 1984 when he was awarded the NFL Defensive Player of the Year. Easley's impactful plays and leadership on the field were instrumental in elevating the Seahawks' defensive unit, contributing to the team's emergence as a competitive franchise during the 1980s.
Easley's career, however, was cut short due to a kidney condition that sidelined him for the 1988 season and led to his retirement.
