Kent Nilsson, born on August 31, 1956, in Mölndal, Sweden, is a former professional ice hockey player renowned for his exceptional playmaking abilities and scoring prowess. He began his career in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) with his hometown team, Mölndals IF, before joining the prestigious club Brynäs IF, where he gained significant attention for his performances during the late 1970s.
Nilsson made a significant impact in the National Hockey League (NHL) after being selected by the Atlanta Flames in the 1978 NHL Entry Draft. He achieved notable success during his time in the NHL, most prominently with the Flames and the Minnesota North Stars, earning an NHL All-Star selection in 1985.
