Kevin Lowe, born on April 15, 1959, in Dunvegan, Ontario, is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey defenseman and a prominent figure in the National Hockey League (NHL). Drafted 21st overall by the Edmonton Oilers in the 1979 NHL Entry Draft, Lowe made his debut with the team during the 1979-80 season, quickly establishing himself as a reliable player on the blueline. He is best known for his significant contributions to the Oilers' dynasty in the 1980s, helping the team capture five Stanley Cup championships from 1984 to 1990.
