Kostya Tszyu, born on September 19, 1969, in Serov, Russia, is a retired professional boxer who held multiple world championships in two weight classes, including the IBF light welterweight title. Tszyu began boxing at a young age and gained prominence as an amateur, winning multiple national titles before transitioning to professional boxing in 1992. His impressive skills and powerful punching quickly made him a force in the sport.
Throughout his career, Tszyu achieved significant milestones, such as winning the WBC, WBA, and IBF light welterweight titles, cementing his status as one of the leading boxers of his era. He is perhaps best known for his decisive victory over Zab Judah in 2001, which unified the light welterweight division.
