Kumar Shri Duleepsinhji, born on June 13, 1905, in the princely state of Nawanagar, India, was a renowned cricketer who represented England and is remembered for his elegant batting style and exceptional prowess as a middle-order batsman. He made his first-class debut in 1926 and played for several teams, notably the Sussex county cricket team, where he made significant contributions during the late 1920s and early 1930s. His remarkable skill on the field earned him selection for the English national team, where he played 2 Test matches between 1931 and 1932.
Throughout his cricketing career, Duleepsinhji's batting average was particularly notable, boasting a first-class average of over 40 runs. He was acclaimed for his numerous centuries, including a notable innings of 174 against Yorkshire in 1930.
