Lakei Heimuli, born on June 24, 1965, in Tonga, is a former professional American football player known for his impactful career as a defensive lineman in the National Football League (NFL). Heimuli moved to the United States during his youth, where he excelled in football at both high school and college levels, showcasing exceptional strength and agility. After a standout collegiate career at Brigham Young University (BYU), he entered the NFL Draft.
Heimuli was selected in the 8th round of the 1989 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers, where he played for several seasons. He contributed significantly to the 49ers' defense, becoming part of a team that won Super Bowl XXIV in 1990.
