Lam Jones, born on April 4, 1958, is a former professional American football wide receiver who played in the National Football League (NFL) primarily for the New York Jets. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he showcased exceptional athleticism and speed, earning him a first-round selection (second overall) in the 1980 NFL Draft. During his collegiate career, Jones was a standout player and contributed significantly to the Longhorns' success.
Throughout his NFL career, Jones played six seasons from 1980 to 1985, where he was known for his deep route-running ability and speed, making significant contributions to the Jets’ offense.
